I Am A Dying Breed

mtrotter1

I fear there will be no more empathy

in this world, ever again;

I find my heart breaks

Whenever I feel disappointed

For the empath in me resides

In anger,

For in anger do I reside in shame!

If love were a boat, it would sink

And my eyes fall to the floor

And they splatter,

Oh what shame am I living in?

On such a deep level, I'm to blame

Sing me songs that are insane

For I can't get this weakness

Out of my head,

Now who's the one to blame for this?

For I am certainly not green!

Yet I am a dying breed, a wayward hope!

If my boat sinks tomorrow

I would die.
