Parallels

Kerry

As I look at you, I see me.

Lost to myself

Divided, overlapping desperation

When your you is upside down.

Unhappiness as a precursor to change.

The cold, sweaty slog to right the salacious bodily needs.

Decider in those wayward fleeting moments

Impactful in their damage, turnstile times.

Unpredictabability as a norm

Sneak a peak, reflections untrue

Tired cliches run through

Like time will heal.

Twelve years on

I’m finally there.

Recognition rife

As I look at you, I see me.
