Sadness sighs
a sense of loss
and disconnect
sighing like a cloud with helpless tears
later on I see three pigeons
pretty pigeons
friendly really
sitting on the greens outside
eating the berries
being themselves
being free ti be a bird
free to be
free to sit
free to fly
Today I felt a sense of loss
a sense of being stuck
divided
sad for things
yet those three pretty pigeons being themselves
relaxing in the green
eating berries
are hopefully in a place where they wish
or wanted to be
i wish to feel always like me
and feel free

I so relate to this poem and I so wish for the same thing. Depression and sadness are awful and you express it so well with this observational poem. Brilliant poem, friend! 🌹👏🖤❤️🖤
They are .. and it’s not nice spending your day feeling like that . ( when you just want to feel happy ) nice to see the pigeons tho .. thanks for kind comment
No, it's not. You're most welcome!
I always find that the natural environment helps for depression. I felt your sadness here. I love watching our avian friends. They are such a delight. A very visual poem Caring dove. Take care.
Thankyou Cassie )) yes sometimes nature helps but I had been in a lot of the day and when I saw the birds ( even outside the window ) it helped a little .. in the moment atleast . We also have cats that come in the house , it’s nice to see them too . But when we feel sad we just want to feel happy , don’t we and just want to enjoy the day . Little things can help sometimes tho , yeah
They are , pigeons are beautiful , gentle . Love birds and nature
Pigeons are certainly reminder of the freedom we desire xx
Well done Caring Dove for this amazing piece xx
They are .. lovely gentle birds . Always think they look soft and friendly .
Yeah , just had been feeling trapped and sad with difficult feelings .. just didn’t want to feel like that
Thanks for kind comment x
Are they free? Who knows. Nice one though.
Nice, evocative, sincere. Good work.
True freedom we all hanker after, but usually we are chained done by something, very enjoyed the read
