conditional love

Demar Desu

getting married

then putting these rules

you can’t do this! I expect that!

is this what love is like?

being able to sacrifice parts of you

for an us

they say pride has love

yet so much pride

can eradicate love

is unconditional love

only given to siblings and parents

even then unforgiving feelings linger

is inclusive love

solely a trait of God

or is there a chance God hates me too

I’m willing to say I love myself

if I’m also being more honest

I’m willing to say I hate myself

is this what comes with the breath

how much it hurts to suffocate

how much of a relief it is to exhale

we give our love

we keep out love

we maybe don’t know what love is
