If It Is Not Love

A Boy With Roses

If it is not love
Then I am speaking of the Devil
With my spiky hair and my spider t-shirt

How quick you appear
Loveless and holier-than-thou
But I am not around

Touch-me-not, if you're a king
Bored when I am sober
Craving affection, inventing words

I want your paradise
Someone I can trust
If it is not love

Do you mean what you say?
Do you get angry at yourself?
Do you ever feel like someone else?

Dying on a mountain of roses
Singing to blackbirds
If it is not love

How quick you appear
Hungover and forsaken
But I am not around.
