But Sally, She Said Nothing

Kevin Hulme

Amy said she Loves me,

It was Amy who’s Heart was true,

Who’s loyalties paved the Road ahead,

So a lasting Love ensues.

It was Katy that spoke of Poetry,

And Music in a life of Dance,

To fill the Soul with the Cultural Food,

The Grain of all Romance.

But Sally, She  said nothing,

Her words revealed with the eyes,

Oh ! What she said with that fleeting glance ;

Now there my Future lies.

    An intriguing poem, Kevin. Really enjoyed. I've come away thinking of Don't Look Back in Anger by Oasis. So Sally can wait and all that.

      Never thought of the Oasis song, just picked a name.
      Glad you liked it .
