Men's Mental Health Awareness Month

Shaunmatthewcpoetry

Men's mental health awareness month is now,
Let's start speaking about our feelings,
Time to look inwards and make a vow,
Don't let the pressure reach heights of ceilings.
Make others aware because they do care,
We all fall sometimes so no shame,
Stop looking at yourself for blame.
The brain is a ridiculously complex machine,
Can fall off the track, if you know what I mean.
Blocking out negative feelings and thoughts,
None of this stuff we were ever taught.

Oh yeah, I think we all taught to just solider on all the time but I broke in 2020, am ok now though.

Funny I was thinking about that ‘soldiering on’ brainwash the last couple of days. Another poem’s coming along that trajectory methinks

Men have such a difficult time opening up. This poem is not only wonderful, it is most needed! Thank you for this! 🙏

Mental health is the poor relation when it comes to the budget, I feel. Not enough resources. Good call - Thanks.
