At First Sight

Kevin Hulme

That was the moment when I stumbled to fall,

From the jolt of the Heart by the Joy of it all,

The fleeting look that at once gave thought,

That told of Love in an instant caught.

Alluring, Beguiling, the light on your hair,

Showing Natures pure finest and where ,

Like warming June in the brightest eyes,

That of your face all Beauty lies.

When of your Smile all Heaven played,

Then so at once my Torment made.

For so it was and forever be,

The shacked pain that is bled to me,

As in waking dreams and Nightly form,

You are all I am - this Spirit torn.
