Hold me like you hold
a cup of warm tea,
with your fingers shaking cold.
Take me in, all,
like you breathe in its steam
and your shoulders rise then fall.
And if you must,
Keep me close and deep,
closer than are the salt and sea,
and the secrets they keep..
And like an angry rogue wave at dusk,
for you ill rise, crash and scream;
for you i'll do anything,
even if it saltens your cup of tea.
