Personal Paroxysm

Tristan Robert Lange

Notice of absence from Tristan Robert Lange
Friends, Iโ€™m doing my best to keep up with comments. ๐Ÿ˜… Iโ€™m still current on my own poems and first replies on othersโ€™ work, but this season has been a bit of a twister. Figured Iโ€™d drop a quick note so you donโ€™t think Iโ€™ve vanished or gone flaky.
Read. Write. Rise. Realize. ๐Ÿค˜๐Ÿ’€๐Ÿ–ค
Serenity

A blue, cloudless sky
Covers the serene landscape.
There is a Spring breeze.

Disturbance

The ground shakes beneath;
Rocks rumble and the earth quakes—
Birds flock and take flight.

Paroxysm

Molten lava flows
Following an eruption.
Life encased in ash.

Primary Succession

Time passes like clouds.
Green shoots arise from hard ash.
From death comes new life.

Pyroclastic displays are both awe-inspiring and terrifying in the same breath!

Reminds me of that chase scene in the Secret Life of Walter Mitty, volcanic plume swallowing up the fleeing compact car.

        • Tristan Robert Lange

          Indeed! Great film!

          • arqios

His best film, I dare say.

Good write T. To pinch a poet's saying (not plagiarising though): 'You can beat an egg, but can ya beat a bit of... a paroxysm?' [Or fill in blank of whatever you wish]. I'm talking utter rubbish now. lol.

              • Tristan Robert Lange

LOL. Oh yes, I know the phraseโ€ฆbecause, who doesnโ€™t use paroxysm in their everyday vernacular! ๐Ÿ˜‚ Thank you so much for reading and commenting and making me laugh! You are a blessing, my friend! ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ

                  • Tristan Robert Lange

                    Exactly! That saying...right there! ๐Ÿ‘† LOL! ๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคช

Give me the serenity, the rest is too mind blowing. I donโ€™t fancy the lava fllows after seeing stuff on Pompeii. Having said that, your haikus are awesome Tristan.

                            • Tristan Robert Lange

\"Mind blowing\" indeed, and it was actually Pompeii I had in mind as I crafted this, of course, to be a metaphor of our own inner cycles of cataclysmic eruption ๐ŸŒ‹. Thank you so much for evoking the place I had in mind when writing this! That truly makes my day, knowing you've visited there! One day I hope to. Thank you, most importantly, for your read and valued input, my friend! ๐Ÿ™โค๏ธ
