Searching For Peace

Mohammad younus koul

In search of peace,
We stumble on strife—
The headlines twist,
Truth bleeds from life.

The news is rigged,
Blackwashed, decayed—
A world drowned in lies,
Where silence is swayed.

How can this be?
Is man so hollow?
Has he forgotten
What peace should follow?

“Love the oppressed,”
The command was clear,
Yet hatred festers,
And justice veers.

Genocide reigns
Where the brave reside,
Their only crime:
To live, defied.

Who will rise
With love’s salvation,
To mend these wounds
And heal creation?

Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.
