Korea when it was occupied by Japan,
All they did was tell fortunes
They were developing the Chinese I Ching
So some people say that Japan modernized Korea and did it for them
That's true, but they would have eventually moved away from divination and modernized on their own
They just didn't have enough money
Actual history shows that didn't happen
That the politics were corrupt,
the government wastes money on things that don't matter and falls
Koreans are tough on injustice to make sure it doesn't happen again
However, it is extremely difficult to find a Korean politician who is not corrupt

The iron of being strict on crime, but corrupt oneself is not restricted to one nation, a nicely written piece
In the period before the Japanese occupation, Korea was lawless, with the state making laws for the people but the aristocracy ignoring them. This made them feel insecure without bribes and hospitality, which is a very difficult problem to solve.
Hard to understand that cultural nuance from a Nihongo mindset.
We live in an age of cultural diversity, but it is always the same that unless I actually live in a place myself, I will never understand it.
A fish rots at the head.
I thought it was a saying, an idiom, and I was right. My knowledge has increased again.Thank you!
