The last part of that day

Maplespal

The last part of that day

A light set-up, allowing a distant view,

for those moments of needed review.

The camera pointed at that beacon sight,

allowed us to find our Tegan from any site.

Good-sized rocks placed purposely around,

put them to show where she could be found.

Flattened the dirt, cleared away the leaves,

this spot is where we come to grieve.

That day into night, vividly still aware,

the memories together we share.

Now we’re keeping a wet eyes sight,

over Tegan’s resting site.

A sad poem of loss. Nicely penned lines.
