weathers getting colder snow is on the way
think about the homeless with no place to stay
living in the open snow falling all around
sleeping in a doorway sleeping on the ground
no where to call home friends or family
no presents christmas day or a christmas tree
living in there lonelieness with no home is sight
sleeping in a doorway on a christmas night

I have seen the homeless I have talked to them. I feel for them and often I have feared being one a beautiful write Jim.

It really shouldn't be, if society worked properly, everyone would be embraced.
The west seems to have believed in democracy, and democracy has handed it over to corporations, corporations are in it for profit.
They drive division and keep us safe!!

The plight of the homeless dear Jim in our country is an utter disgrace. No one should have to sleep rough and at this time of year, it is positively cruel. Your poem carries a strong message as well as imagery. Lovely poetry.

Homelessness is one of the crimes of our society, sadly only at Christmas time gets any attention. A hidden army of ignored and forgotten people, and in this day and age it should never be. Nice writing Jim
