As Our World Slowly Dies

Accidental Poet

Look around you

Hatred, vengeance

Cruelty and hostility

Senseless violence

Swarms of people

Surrendering to evil thoughts

Humanity under attack

Not the future that was sought

Nuclear threats run rampant

Among global dictators

So eager to push the button

Earth’s life incinerators

And what of the innocent victims?

Just casualties of war

A war that shouldn’t have been

And now, the Earth is no more?

Yet still more art than ever before in history, it is easy to look at how much can go wrong, letโ€™s not turn a blind eye to what is going right. Great poem

Yes, the threat of war is always around us. It has been that way from the beginning and I suppose it will be that way until the end. A poem that nicely explains how people suffer for the choices of their leaders.

          • Accidental Poet

From the looks of things soren. between Russia, China and North Korea the end is about to happen. And they don't care who loses.

The victims are me and you and we are transparent my friend. A deeply disturbing write yet more than appropriate for today's messed up world. ๐ŸŒน

Amen. Contemplating water shortages, chemical run off. GMO's, nuclear war and plastic poisoning leaves me believing human's time is almost over. With us vanished this planet might have a chance. Gone, and we will have deserved it.

                          • Accidental Poet

Thank you Dan, about 99% of the world\'s population takes the world we live in for granted and thinks it belongs to us and we can do whatever we want to it and the people in it without and consequences. Well, they're about to realize the consequences couldn't be more devasting. But it will be too late.

Yes. we are so close to WW 3 and I gotta say, it is scrary as h***. And yes, we are the bottom dwellers who will recieve the worse, the very worse of it all....great thought process here.

                          • NafisaSB

totally agree. war is senseless and kills more innocents daily, but the ambitions, greed and need for power is way too strong- sad scenario well painted
