A World That’s Still

Mark The Phenomenon

I see a world that’s still,
I feel no pain but a chill.
No control over my body,
In a mental state ready to kill.
Thinking of tragedy like what happened to till,
My moment to fight with the power of will.
couldn't eat a good meal,
Frail and took too long to heal.
Heavily layered easily peeled,
Giving a second chance my fate is not yet sealed.
I know what’s real,
Living and not able to feel.

Like the continual beat of a hammer the rhyme at the end of each line, strikes and rings and nail of a hard bell Sounding out frustration. The message comes through loud and clear.
