when christmas comes around it tears the heart it me
christmas lonlieness is all ever see
happiness i had that i used to know
has melted away like the christmas snow
no more christmas kisses beneath the mistletoe
the way you held me tight that gave my heart a glow
these are all things in my memory
before the angels came took you away from me
when we meet again. my lonlieness will go
i will be with you and the love i know
share again once more way it used to be
and the love i knew you always gave to me

Filled with sadness and a sense of grief this poem speaks of a season that should be of joy and peace. This contrast in feelings gives this poem greater meaning. Very nicely done Jim

A very heart felt write Jim. A beautiful video and song to accompany your words for a much loved and missed partner. So much grief and Christmas time approaching can only make you miss her even more. A lovely poem. Hope you are ok.

No shopping and no wine Jim 🙂Plenty of housework though. Cold and dismal here as well. Time is a great healer. Not much consolation when your grief is raw, but it will soften over time. Keep warm.
