Faults (2)

LP2187

I complain about everything

When it’s actually just me

Wrong things that I’m doing

But I never want to agree

Beneath the surface

Under my skin

I want justice

But I get chagrin

Because when I want right

I’m the one to blame

I try to be polite

But I end up with shame

I never meant to misconceive

It’s true, and it’s ugly

Something I don’t want to believe

That the faults lie within me

If we were to judge ourselves we wouldn't be judged.
