COTTAGE

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Finger marks on the doorframe
The paint is cracked and dry
Reminders of a past
Frozen tears in the eye.

Shadows of a yesteryear
Adorn walls in silence now
Missing pictures leave their stains
In a final, defiant vow.

To speak without words
The sunshine of the day
Encloses to the night
Of a time now faraway.
