Not a Burden

When you lose someone special to you
Close your eyes and remember their smile
That time was a gift from above given
You will see them in heaven in just a while

They would not want you defeated by grief 
There’s a reason God chose you to move on
He has a plan for you to carry forward 
And your memories together won’t be alone

So live for that fleeting gift you were given
Make a difference someone else watches you
You were chosen to demonstrate strength
Shine brightly for that person needs you too

You weren’t given a burden you couldn’t carry
God knows you’ve seen tough times before
Your courage has already been known
You have been tested to your very core

So remember that love from your lost one
Carry his love with you every single day 
He wouldn’t want you lingering in sorrow 
He would want that courage forever on display
