Empathy

Wordspikes

I see your shoes
I watch the struggle in your gait
the awkward footsteps which you take

I do not judge
but try to understand your situation
to see the world from your perspective
and to feel it as if I were you

I try to grasp your point of view
to recognize
so that I might really know what you feel
and what you think.

my silence you see loudly
you misjudge that I am afraid to walk in step with you
when all I want is to be there

my silence is my fear
my empathy
my love
