The Impossible

E Naughton

To move a house,
The impossible,
But anything is possible, with time on your side,

Til death do we part,

Til death we will push,
Alone it may not have budged
But it stood steady
Waiting

Waiting for your hands
A Heavy house with light hearts
We will push once more
Til death do we part

  • Comment from author about the poem: My wife recently overcame her battle with a very serious genetic cancer, ( both her 1st cousins were not so lucky and sadly passed away following a brutal fight ) chemotherapy, surgeries etc it's been a long unsettling road.. the first tears I shed since the day we found out were two days after we got the all clear. It seemed impossible as history looked about to repeat itself, I was able to keep our show on the road while she was ill but if I had to continue alone I am not so sure, The impossible dedicated to my wife and all those who have not been so fortunate a hero a warrior a mother who will thankfully see our children grow!

There may be things that seem impossible but together are achievable.
