tsunamI

sophin

the water comes to me

so i drown,

so i drown

in such deep blue

the multi-colored striped fishes

circling around my head

like a shining halo

tangled in the masses of my black

hair

and above my face,

turned towards clarity: sunlight

sunlight,

sunlight;

how blindingly beautiful

it caresses my cheekbones

a parting gift

before i am pulled down into the depths

by the arms that love me.
