A piece of paper sits here
waiting empty
wandering
what words could I receive today
sad words happy words
funny words
words that are felt
words in blue
words of the soft sea
the serene sky
a true voice
a soft voice , hopefully
that fills the emptiness with ‘ something ‘

a piece of paper isn’t complete
without words or comfortable colours
that brighten or help the colour white

Thankyou Cassie .. I have been feeling bit sad and tired this morning , bit better at the moment . I had my covid injection yesterday and didn’t sleep that well last night . But yes a piece of paper needs words and when we’re feeling sad or empty we need ‘ something ‘ to make us feel even that little bit better

Love this…it starts off as a response to wroter’s block or so it seems, and the ending not inly completes that angle, but it also is open to interpretation. The blank page and the words/colours adding complettion to that which was simply blank before, could certainly be interpreted as metaphors. Wonderful, seemingly simple, and yet a thoughtfully deep poem. 🌹👏 Aside from the poem, I am hoping you are able to find some happiness my friend. Keeping that in my prayers for you! ❤️🙏
