Good Enough

Sassy Lou

I'm not good enough
For anyone or anything
I keep hoping
Keep feigning,
but I'm always flaming out
They say, "discover your value,"
but how can I?
Every piece I try and gather,
Eludes my grasp
like it was never mine to hold,
They say, "Love yourself,"
but how do you love?
What feels shattered inside
I give all I have,
but it's never enough
Not for anyone, not even me,
I'm tired of chasing value
of hoping that someday,
I feel complete
But perhaps it's true,
I'll never be good enough

Dealing with an issue a lot of people feel every day, if relating to the poet i can say from experience it takes time but it can be done, First step is find someone you trust to open up to, wishing you all the best

Nil value is infinite and valuable value is finite.
Creativity is infinite and ready-made is finite.
We think we can go back and forth between the two, think and stop thinking because we are free to do so.

I read you words Cassie. You have expressed yourself well here. So sorry you feel this way. Keep writing and find someone to talk to who has a sympathetic ear. I hope you feel better soon.
