Wings

LeilaniAC

I wish I could hate you, for it would be so much easier. But I can't. You lit a passion in me whose flame could rival the suns. When I looked at you my heart swelled with warmth. You were my home, the lantern that led me out of the dark and into a world full of life. You were the wings that held me high in a cloud of happiness I didn't know was possible. Without you my wings have been cut, sending me falling, drifting into the darkness that once consumed me. You needed your wings, you too were falling and that I knew. That's why I stay in the darkness of this world without anger. For I hope one day your wings can carry both of us to the clouds again.
