will be gone for a week

I felt this feeling

Erupting inside

I couldn’t stop it

And it took over me

Thunder and storms

Emerged overhead

I called them to me

Overshadowing my dread

It controlled all my nerves

Every part of my being

Destroyed my innocence

Corrupted my soul

Turned me against

Everything I had loved

It was all because

Of this feeling

I fought against it

With what I had left

But it overwhelmed me

And changed my life

Now I reside

In the darkness

I tried to hide

From this powerful feeling

I raged and screamed

For it to go away

I tried to gather my strength

That I no longer had

So I was beaten

And torn apart

I couldn’t fight it

Couldn’t fight the feeling

So the feeling broke me

And froze my life

Shattered it to pieces

I watched it engulf

My world in flames

Nothing could stop it

And now I’m nothing

But an empty shell
