Sweet Ending!

GenXer Shamrocker ☘️

As dinner draws to a close and day turns into night; both Meara and Mellan come to realize; that the next story to be written belongs to the both of them. Mellan sees for himself how he feels more alive again! He’s decided to take Bri up on his offer and stay right here in Vermont. He’s got a passion of his own now that can not be stopped. Meara has fallen for this not so tough man. To take good care of him, she’ll do the best she can. As they approach home, Mellan grabs hold of her waist. Leans in for a little more than a sweet warm embrace. They share in a kiss that brings this short story to an end; tune in for new characters soon my dear friends!

  • Comment from author about the poem: The tavern I chose is in Ludlow Vermont. I chose a few special towns to merely bring light to history in towns that may not seem like much to a few. But for those born and raised, it still holds a special place in their hearts. Every town, and city, like people has there own story and struggle; there are people who do their very best to keep these towns alive and beautiful. Facts about Ludlow Vermont: these can be found online. 1. Charted by New Hampshire on September 16,1761. 2. Ludlow Woolen Mills. The mill was built in 1834 and was known as “Ludlow Woolen Company” by 1885. 3. Settlement of the town began in 1783-84 after charter was granted. It is home to Okemo Mountain Resort. Vermonters work hard. Vermonters come together to help each other. Winters in Vt can be brutal but no matter what, Vermonters make the time pass either by running, walking, snowboarding, 🏂 skiing ⛷️ or snowmobiling! There is always something to do to make the dreaded winters pass!!
