The Mist Of Morning, Torn By Peaks

Mohammad younus koul

The mist of morning, torn by peaks,
Old towers gleam as the sunlight seeks,
In joyous rays, divine glory plays,
Longing for the lover's gaze.

The lark salutes the break of day,
Then softly smiles and fades away.
Man, awakened at twilight fair,
Finds shadows swept by morning’s care.

With light’s tender brush, a new day is born,
Emerging from night’s embrace forlorn.
The lonely lover, silent, stares
As the sun ascends, its brilliance flares.

Yet, bound by earth’s fleeting ties,
The yearning soul to Heaven flies,
To glittering streams of Eternity’s gleam,
Awaking midst glories unknown, unseen,
As sunshine scatters the remnants of dreams.
