**CAUTION - SATIRE AHEAD*"
Disarrayed streams of thought
Water spurting from chocked faucet
Neither alone, nor with friends
A strange existence
Morning's embrace so cold
Night air chills the bones
Neither awake, nor in sleep
A life on perpetual hold
Awake feeling like zombie
Maniacal work, half asleep
Horse in blind sprint
No time to take beauty in
Free to choose, mantra of the day
Choose debt over freedom all the way
Bigger cars, sprawling bungalow
Life too short, don't think twice
Make the best of it anyway
Throw parties, cavier and champagne
Bit of orgy, few snorts of cocaine
Feel like a king on the throne
Mounting debt, hey, it doesn't matter
Neighbours envy holds the sway
Good work, pat on the back
Gratification in wad of cash
Earn money, spend more
Swipe plastic cards
Things are yours
Be Warren Buffett
Wealth is The Czar
Einstein was genius
But, did he have wealth and power?

This .. or these depending on how one sees it, or them is .. or are, exceptionally brilliant .. If considered a single entity .. it is remarkable .. conversely, if viewed as seven successive but independent little gems they are awesome .. & that is the truth, no mucking about nor messing or satire .. just plain and simply brill ..and likewise awarded the near sacred👍👍.. Most sincere gratitude for your read and the words of appreciation. They encourage me to strive for betterment. Thank you very much
Although written in a very satirical way it addresses a real issue in todays world, a very enjoyable read.
Deeply appreciate your read and comments. Thank you very much
You are very welcome
Set in the proper season of giving and getting this poem speaks to spending money one doesn't have on things that one does not need. Greed, gluttony, envy, jealousy and coveting. A nation of inflation, damnation of our creation slaves to debt.
Thank you so much for the read and exceedingly valueable comments. Living in debt not out of necessity but out of concious choice has become a global phenomenon. I find it quite counter intuitive as we, ourselves are choosing life of apparent comfort in exchange of a life of freedom. Really strange!
Great write
Thank you very much!
