hedgehogs hibernating missing christmas day
curled up in a ball as they sleep away
dreaming of the spring to wake up from there sleep
from there winter nest they will gently creep
roaming round the garden for a tasty treat
finding worms and insects they just love to eat
such a lovely creature that children love to see
mother natures child roaming wild and free

Hello Jim. We used to have hedgehogs in our garden some time ago, but no more. I miss them. Such lovely little creatures. Your poem is charming and I can remember how fond my grandchildren were of them. All good wishes.
