Vlad and Donald
Ukraine is in a war not of its making or it`s wanting.
The effects are devastating and will be long haunting,
No one said Vlad welcome why don't you come on in.
Our country bit by bit you can slowly start destroying.
I would like Donald to take him home by the evil hand.
So, the Ukrainians can start to rebuild their homeland.
I fear now that Donald will be America's next president.
And to Vlad he says he is a good friend and confident.
The future of Ukraine looks bleaker than it did before.
Correct decisions are not something either will deploy.
2 bullies throwing their weight around the playground.
There can only be peace if Vlad can have a bit more land.
While USA paid for bombs continue to fill the Arab skies.
Ukrainians will be left to watch their country slowly die.
I hope their friendship is not close like Donald says of it.
That somewhere in his heart to Ukraine he will commit.
Mr. President (Vlad) is not a man anyone should ever trust.
When Vlads around Donald make sure you cover your back.
So, we ask Donald (Mr. President) please do what is right.
To ensure that Ukraine and its people can stay alive.

Vlad and Donald...a wonderfully true poem that will, sadly, have some people reacting defensively (though I can never get that, really. Why are people so insecure in their political stances? Like if you believe it, own it. 🤷♂️). All the same, my friend, you are certainly expressing a reality that this poet sees, acknowledges and resists. For anyone who truly appreciates the so-called "free world" and "peace on earth and good will toward people", there is no other way to view what is going on in Ukraine! Evil is what evil does...evil does what evil is. I digress. A wonderfully true and urgent poem, friend! Thank you for this! 🌹🌹👏👏 Faved because of its importance!
Thank you for your positive feedback it is very encouraging, everything i write about is what i believe and i would never change that, i do except some people have difficulties in that area, which i personally do not understand. The world is never going to agree on everything and quite rightly, would be quite boring really, but murdering of innocent people in any form, any where in the world, we should all be able to agree is wrong. Open solid piece with some keen insight into the current situation: “While USA paid for bombs continue to fill the Arab skies” plus next line.
Taking a step or two back, I don’t believe Zelenskyy should ever have played footsie with NATO and the US. This led to perhaps feelings of insecurity on Putin’s part.
But his invasion was/is not excusable.
Thank you for your feedback, i am not sure NATO all the cause, Putin never wanted the iron curtain to come down in the first place, but was not in a position of power at that time to stop it, it has been his life mission to restore Russia to how it used to be, at whatever cost. Thanks for reminding me it is Sunday! As a result of our brief conversation here...I've dived down a rabbit hole to discover I know very little of the Ukraine , Russia etc. Come up for a breath of fresh air...must shortly return...may get back to you sometime, If I ever get out.....properly.
