Bridge between our hearts

I've built the bridge between our hearts 
I've paved the way with songs
I didn't see it from the start-
All efforts became wrongs .

Like a river, poems flew.
You were prepared to depart
I was doomed to fall through.

I've built a bridge between our hearts 
Beguiling and fragile
It wasn't written in the stars,
It had lived in my mind...
And it was bound to be ruined,
