I’ve often wondered why

I do the things I do

All I can say is

From my heart it comes to you

 

For everything we do

Comes with feeling

From deep down inside

Something we’re revealing

 

When it comes from the depths within

You know it’s born of love

Where love was born

From Heaven above

 

Sometimes born of

Pure romantic elation

Or of for fellow man

A show of human compassion

 

Life, the most precious of gifts

To some worthless as can be

 Still, some will give their lives

So others can live to see

 

If it brings you

A warm feeling from the start

You’ll know it came to you

By way of the heart
