silent burden

vanillacoke

Love is given, though it's not returned,
Eyes stay blind to what is earned.
Endlessly giving, yet it’s never enough,
Silence cuts deep, the world is rough.

Pretending all is well, standing tall,
But inside, the pieces fall.
Sadness lingers, quiet, deep,
A secret kept, a wound to seep.

Screams for help, but none will hear,
A heart grows cold, yet still stays here.
Alone, the path is carried on,
Silent, hidden, till it’s gone.
