You Are My World

Job Welime

There is a city in my heart,
Where you are its only population.
You have purchased real estate in the state of my unconsciousness,
Living in my thoughts, visiting my dreams,
I see you at night, and again by day,
Whether or not you physically pass by.

You are the pulse of my heart,
Where love finds its rest.
All I need is your presence near,
My love, so dear.

If my heart were a mirror,
I would hold it up to you
So you could see the reflection of your beauty,
Through my eyes, pure and true.

You are the word that rests on my lips without sound.
Each time I see you, the world seems to quiet down.
If love is a word, you are its meaning,
And if life is a journey, you are the road I’m seeking,
My true north, guiding me home.

You are my world,
And all within you is my paradise.
