When someone opens up to you about hurtful things from their past; do you truly listen? Or do you later laugh? Do you brush it off as hear say choosing not to believe? Do you tell someone else what this person confided in you after he or she leaves? When someone pours their heart out in a way that brings them to tears; are you able to withstand their pain with them that they’ve been carrying for years? When someone lets their guard down and in you confides. Do you stand by them for every up and down on this journey called life? We as humans are not meant to do this life alone. I understand why so many choose to be on their own. Next time someone trusts you enough to pour their heart out; don’t leave them feeling isolated; that only feeds their doubt. His word says we are to help those in need; why not choose kindness? Let love be the planted seed!
