Chasing the sunset

Notice of absence from xqw
Haha sorry not around rn

I want to follow the sunset to the other side of the world

Sit down on the grass and watch the birds

Scream at the top of my lungs and yell in the winter air

Watch the snowflakes fall and trickle down my sleeve

Then at the end of the day, I'll keep running

To a new place. A new slate. If I get there early I'll watch the sunrise.

See how the sunlight catches on the clouds, covering it like a blanket

The orange hue catching on the grass.

Damp. Cold. But warm enough to watch the rest of the day go by.

And then I'll keep running.

Stopping only for the sunrise and the dew on the grass.

And then I'll keep following the sunset.

And when I can't breathe anymore and my legs give up. I'll watch until the sunset goes down.

And let the grass cushion me into the earth.

Perhaps that is what lies at the end of continuing to live.
