It's just a dream
A sleeping beauty tearfully cries,
streaming images to her eyes.
Tossing and turning with her fear,
dreaming scary noises she can hear.
I'm silently watching for her to wake,
the nightmares hold for her to break.
Pondering what she's trying to find,
while watching her dreaming mind.
Like the recurring moments in the past,
wondering how long this dream will last.
I'm waiting to comfort her waking scream,
and bring her down from her dream.

That was gripping and riveting; a powerful expression, to say the least.
A powerful but also tender poem of watching some one suffering recurring nightmares, very nicely written
