A HALL FULL OF PEOPLE

kashish

A hall full of people
But I still spotted her there
All chatting, laughing and giggling
She seemed too unbothered to care.

Seemlessly contemplating upon her deeds
Tapping the edge of the coffee cup she held
Entangling the hair with her tips
An unwavering essence of solitude I felt.

Concealing the demons penetrating underneath
Sipping up lightly, she tried to disguise
Among all the others she knew she wasn't at ease
Still she chose to put up a smile gleaming with lies.

I gazed when she was questioned about her well being
As lost as she was, her gesture seemed rather odd
With all her might she stared blank
No word was uttered, just a suspicious nod.

Here she is, back to her pretentious game
As if she was always there
I encountered a hall full of people
But alas! She can be spotted nowhere.

Phantom of the hall. I think that we all have seen this person at one time or another. A ghostly poem with a haunting ending. Well delivered
