SEPARATE ROADS

nephilim56 ( Norman Dickson)

Theres an echo
In my heart
That reminds
Of a time long ago
You smiling in moonlight
Which only we two know.

Lovers in our youth
Strong vibrant
Burning bright
Two candles flames
Entwined in passion
Upon that Summer night.

You who were so beautiful
Your flesh in tender touch
Your girlish grin lifted my heart
I loved you so very much.

But the many roads of life
Led us our separate ways
But the echo still calls
Making my heartbeat sway.

A reflection on loving days gone by and that love might still be shining, enjoyed the read.

Some youthful connections don’t ever go away! The pangs and reminiscing is real. Thanks for sharing. πŸ™πŸ»
