Come inside

Maplespal

Come inside

Don't dip to close to my mind.
Don't spew your believed lines.
I'll pull you deep in to find,
where your species is sleeping.

The ones I keep trapped inside,
those you don't want to find.
I will have to be your guide,
to your own cell within.

The trophies I am keeping.
Coaxing them each time,
I can hear them all speaking.
The ones held inside.

Dip close so I can hear.
Come with me,
there's nothing to fear.
I won't harm you,
I'll just keep you.

Come inside.

Food for thought here, those inner selves we struggle with, ever present. Great write!
