Lost

Joanyta

A needle’s sting, so sharp and thin,
Pierces my skin. It starts again.
What mistakes made, what promise lost?
Is the gain worth this bitter cost?

Countless questions cloud my mind,
Simple solutions but hard to find.
They claim it’s easy, they proceed,
Yet a million doubts take seed.

Pain, I thought had found its end,
Now sharper still, comes to mend.
Memories haunt like ghostly foes,
In a sea of sorrow, my spirit rows.

Emotions lost in a tempest’s crest,
I ponder deeply, am I next?
