Winter Rose

Neil Higgins

In the silent realm of winter's gaze,

Defying the darkness, pure and fragile.

Petals adorned with frost against monochrome.

Amidst the starkness, a winter rose.

Each delicate petal, etched with details of life.

A testament of resilience and strength.

As daylight fades and shadows creep,

The rose stands defiant against the night.

It thrives in the midst of bitter cold.

For within its frosty terrain lies a miracle.

Spring

is coming.
