Sliver of Moon

Sliver Of Moon

Time with you is gone way too soon

Fading away like a sliver of moon

Hanging there in the dark night sky

Gone before the dawn draws nigh

Like a clipping lying on the bedroom floor

A reminder of days and times before

The lingering melody of a familiar tune

Partially lit, like a sliver of moon

Til alas it’s waning cycle is complete

In the void where time and space will meet

The darkness as lonely as time gone by

There for a sliver of moon, my heart doth sigh
