Crystal Heart

starbeam.antarctica

Confiding in you,
Oh, you haven’t a clue.
My truth will only darken you.
Still, I drag you in my tow,
And selfishly, I retch my woe.

But even if you’d focus,
I still don’t think you’d notice,
Foulness masked with cinnamon.
A bleeding heart of silicon.

You cannot see the path I tread,
Where you see cake, I just see bread.
Virginal eyes deceive you, boy!
Is there any part of this you enjoy?

I do not want to tear you apart,
So if I ever kiss and leave, know this,
I can't corrupt your crystal heart.
