Obadiah is the young man in this short story of mine. One who is struggling in his journey of this roller coaster ride of life. He worked in real estate for the last few years. It no longer brings him joy; rather many fears. His mom’s health is fading and has been called to higher purpose. Will it be easy to care for her? No; but it will be worth it. Obadiah too is reminded of his youth. How he hurt his mother deeply with unkind words rather than I love you. Words hurt and can cut like a knife. He’s hoping before she leaves this world, he can make things right. There’s much pain beneath the surface of this character of mine; like I always say; come back next time.
