arqios

Notice of absence from arqios
πŸ•Š πŸ™πŸ»πŸ•ŠοΈ

In the still of night,
              . . .  a voice
becomes Dawn's first light

Where every shadow meets its end
Reverie ascends skyward:
a final page turned
, weary lines
of hope, once written
               now unwind

Until this day comes
, we seek our peace

Never again lost
  . . .  in darkened sleep.

You are a poet if you are quietly lost in thought.
      It's obvious.

      • arqios

Sometimes in thought and then get lost or the other way around, lost and then caught in thought… no escape either way πŸ€£πŸ™πŸ» Thanks kindly πŸ‘πŸ»

Double edged sword in a poetic way, enjoyed the read, nice start to the year.

          • arqios

Yes! So glad you pointed that out, double edged sword, tightrope walking, and other like scenarios… that’s how it feels at times, most times. Thanks kindly for your continued support. πŸ™πŸ»

This sounds almost Biblical "God is light" in John and in the gospel of John "In the beginning was the word" In a prophetic way it casts its metaphor. The last lines are my favorite
              "Never again lost
              . . . in darkened sleep."

              • arqios

Now that you mention it, that observation makes so much sense. Perhaps I am edging towards that divine light, quite the holy grail of the past several decades, what with ohms and ahms inclusive. I like the last bit too! It has an after image, the remains after we’ve turned and continued on our way. Thanks kindly πŸ™πŸ»

Wonderful thought and here's to 2025. I'm hoping, despite what I know to be coming in my country, that the year itself turns out to be okay-ish! Anything above that will be jam spread on toast! 🀣 Happy New Year to you, my dear friend! ❀️
