sunlit lights blaze quickly past
i'm hitting eighty, but on the dash
a gift you gave to me
is the only one that sees
my tears
i'm driving from the porcelain
smiles that i'm boxed in
the crushing weight of everything
the hollow feeling when i sing
i'm gone
the road is empty late at night
fields lit by halogen candlelight
a deer stole my breath then walked away
i looked at death and then i stayed
it left
sunlit lights blaze quickly past
i'm driving, but now at last
the words you spoke to me
they grow inside of me
i think
