Obadiah has made it back to his childhood home. Just in time to see his Mom. He’s a nervous wreck as he doesn’t know what to say; “well come give your mother a hug; Opal has been waiting all day. More like years. She’s missed her son so much. Obadiah listens to his Mom as he too has needed this small but so important touch. “Mom;” Obadiah begins; “I want to apologize for everything.” “Everything I put you through; all the things I said and did.” “Mom, you didn’t deserve any of it.” “You always tried to do the best you could.” “I’d take it all back if I could.” “You should know I’m not that man anymore.” “I have a trust in my faith thanks to my mentor.” Opal is in tears as she hears these words from her son. Little does he know; he’s been long forgiven. “Son.” “I forgave you every day all these years.” “There’s nothing that takes away a mother’s love”; she continues through her tears. Looks like some of you poets knew I do love a happy ending. Yet this story is still in it’s beginning!!!
